Thanking Bees for Holiday Foods

It's time to give thanks to the bees that make our holiday meals so delicious!

Mason bees are excellent pollinators of apple, pear, cherry, almond, blueberry, and strawberry plants. Eating your favorite fruit pie? Thank a bee!

Your pumpkin pie may have been pollinated by native squash bees, follow this link to learn more about these native ground-nesting bees and what you can do to help support them.

Got whipped cream? Alfalfa leafcutter bees most likely pollinated high-protein alfalfa feed that nourished dairy cows.

Thank you, bees, for all of your tireless work pollinating our yummy food.
